Ghanaian Afrobeat singer and former signee of the Burniton music group, Kelvyn Boy says that the inexperience on the part of the Black Stars failed them at the AFCON.
He made this assertion in an interview with Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz Show after he was asked what he made of the performance of the Black Stars at the AFCON.
According to the 'MoMo' crooner, the inability of the coach to recall the likes of Kevin Prince Boateng and Muntari into the team affected the team because to him it takes "a certain spirit" to play at the AFCON, something he felt the team lacked which went far to expose the inexperience of the Black Stars team.
"I felt there were some people they were supposed to call. Some experienced people who had been around the field before to be there because I saw inexperience. I heard they didn't call Kevin and Muntari. These people are matured and carry some spirit that the team lacked. At the end even though we are disappointed, I think they tried", he explained.
The abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the just ended AFCON has led to the the dismissal of coach Milovan Rajevac. Aside that, the Parliament has asked for a face-face questioning of some senior players in the team, as well as GFA officials to explain what really went wrong at the AFCON in the coming days.
