Former President John Dramani Mahama has pledged that the next NDC administration will complete the construction of the Juapong-Abutia-Sokode road, which was lobbied for by the late Mrs. Dzifa Attivor.
According to the former President, the project has been abandoned by the incumbent government.
Speaking at the final funeral rites of the former Transport Minister on Saturday, he said, "Daavi Dzifa was on my neck for the construction of the Sokode-Juapong Road which was eventually awarded and started, but the NPP abandoned it and I promise you today, that we will construct the road if we get back to power."

He also praised the late Dzifa Attivor for being instrumental in the growth of the transportation sector in the country.
Mr. John Mahama said the former Transport Minister led the upgrade of the Kotoka International Airport, Tema Harbour, Takoradi Airport, Kumasi and Ho Airports among others.
He prayed for God to strengthen the family as they go through such a devastating period in life.

A requiem service was held at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, at Abutia Teti as part of the final funeral rites for the late Mrs. Attivor on Saturday.

Speaker Alban Bagbin, Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Peter Otokunor, party faithful, and sympathizers were present at the funeral service.

The late public officer was laid in state on Friday, at Shalom Chapel at Abutia Teti in the Volta Region.

Mrs. Attivor died in the early hours of Tuesday, November 16, after a short illness. She is said to have been visiting the hospital for treatment for a period, before her demise.
