Some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Atewa East Constituency of the Eastern Region are threatening to reject the Polling Station Executives album yet to be compiled.
The members claim leadership of the Constituency have declined to release nomination forms to new entrants who want to contest the current polling station executives.
They indicated that the Constituency Executives have sold limited nomination forms to some new entrants whiles several others have been denied the opportunity to pick a form and contest.
Over the weekend, some residents stormed the party office to pick up forms but were denied.
A member of the affected party, Steven Owusu said he spent the whole of Saturday and Sunday at the constituency office but was told the forms were in limited supply.
The group has, thus, called on the party executives to display fairness or they will be dragged to the court of law.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Atewa East Constituency, Yaw Antwi, has disclosed to JoyNews that the executives have no intention to deny any member who legitimately qualifies to contest.
He noted that Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has procured the nomination forms for all existing polling station executives as an incentive or in recognition of their hard work.
He further revealed that the MP for the Constituency, Abena Osei, also paid for additional forms.
Mr. Yaw Antwi said the Constituency has issued out over three thousand forms assigned to the office.
