Ghana’s Independence Day celebration in Bibiani stands out like a sore thumb each year.

The people and chiefs of the Bekwai Municipal assembly make merry with a number of activities planned throughout the day.

This year’s celebration was lit with their beloved Gold Stars football club the highlight.

The celebration over the years saw Gold stars play a friendly game with an invited team to herald the evenings round of activities, all that was replaced this year with a competitive game for the first time, as Gold Stars faced Medeama Sc in their debut Ghana premier league season

George Addo Jnr was in Bibiani over the weekend to understand why 6th March is much bigger than Christmas or Easter.
