The Comptroller General of Ghana Immigration Service, Kwame Asuah Takyi (Esq) has disclosed that President Akufo-Addo has approved a four-year manpower development plan for all the security agencies in the country.
Mr. Asuah Takyi was speaking at a durbar of security personnel from all security agencies in Aflao on logistics and re-engineering of security agencies in the country.
“Never in the history of this country. I cannot disclose the amount but it is millions of dollars that will be used to retool all the security agencies,” the Comptroller General said
According to him, the commissioning of the Four Naval Vessels by the President was part of the retooling of the security agencies.
The Comptroller and his entourage paid a visit to the Aflao Chief, President of the Aflao Traditional Council, Togbe Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, to have a chat on how to keep the borders safe and also create a serene working environment for security officers in the area.

On Covid-19 pandemic, he said the presidential task force, the President and Vice President as well as high-ranking officials are making sure the pandemic is managed at the land borders even better than before.

He noted that there were already plans and preparations towards the reopening of the borders and the Immigration Service is very much ready to protect the borders as best as they can.
"Ghana is ranked as the best country in the management of Covid-19 pandemic which is a plus to the country," the General said
He also toured some of the borders in the Ketu South Municipality including the Akanu ECOWAS border.
