The North Tongu MP in commemorating Eid-Ul-Fitr on Tuesday donated bicycles and helmets to Muslim female day students in the Junior and Senior High Schools.
In a post on Twitter, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the donation forms part of initiatives to "promote girl child education" in the Zongo communities in the constituency.
These female students are among the many who have to trek a long distance before they get to school.
In the spirit of Eid, I have been donating bicycles and helmets to selected Muslim female day students in long distance JHS and SHS as a new MP's intervention to promote girl child education in the zongos of my beloved constituency.

Following the donation, it is expected that they would be able to easily attend classes.
Meanwhile, the North Tongu MP wishes all Muslims a happy Eid.
