Asante Kotoko have won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title after holding out for a draw against AshantiGold on Thursday, June 2.
The Porcupine Warriors heading into the outstanding game against their rivals needed just one point after Hearts of Oak failed to beat Karela United on Monday.
AshGold got the game's opener through Yaw Annor, who netted his 12th goal in his last five matches just 10 minutes into the game.
However, Imoro Ibrahim teed Maxwell Agyemang to draw the Porcupine Warriors levelled and ensure that they end the game with a 1-1 scoreline.
The draw at the Lenclay Stadium means Prosper Nartey's side currently enjoys an overwhelming 10-point advantage at the top of the standings, having taken 60 points from 31 games with just three games to go.
The triumph sees Kotoko win their 25th league title while also grabbing their first since the 2013/14 campaign.
