Bronze medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Jessie Lartey, lost to England's Mohammed Harris Akbar in the men's 67kg Light Middleweight event at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Lartey was looking to advance to the next phase as he continues his pursuit of yet another medal at the Games, having secured Bronze in 2018.
However, his journey was cut short in the round 16th stage on Tuesday, August 2, after suffering a loss to Akbar by a unanimous decision.
Lartey's elimination now means Ghana will have just two boxers more chasing a medal.
