A 12-year-old boy has allegedly been shot dead by his uncle in Mankuma, a farming community in the Bole district of the Savannah region.
According to a source, the mother of the deceased left him in the care of his uncle, who later pick the boy up on a motorbike to his farm.
While they were en route, the uncle's elbow mistakenly clicked the trigger of the locally manufactured gun he was carrying.
The bullet fired hit his nephew who died instantly.
The deceased has since been buried.
The Bole district police command, however, has since visited the scene for investigations.
Meanwhile, Adom News' Rebecca Natamoh reports that the family wants to settle the case without any police intrusion.
