The Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) has expressed satisfaction with the level of activities in the tourism and hospitality industry in 2022 despite the economic challenges.
According to its Executive Secretary, Emmanuel Frimpong, several activities took place across the country in 2022, as people climax the year in a grand style.
He urged fun-loving Ghanaians to take advantage of the yuletide period every year and enjoy themselves.
“The interesting thing about last year’s December in Ghana was the fact that it was not only centered in Accra as we have been seeing over the years. This time around, almost all the regions had something going on as far as December in GH was concerned, so it was pretty much good”, he told Joy Business.
“A lot went on. We will always encourage more people to participate and be part of what goes on”, he added.
Mr. Frimpong further said despite the economic challenges, people always want to live a memory every year, hence the celebrations.
“If you go out there, you’ll want to ask yourself, is it the same people who were complaining that there’s no money? People are struggling, but I want to believe that at the end of the day, whatever it is, at the end of the year, you have to find a way of encouraging yourself, find a way of meeting people, and find a way of getting in touch with your clients, your customers, friends and family members”.
“We are alive. So whatever it is, let’s make merry and have fun”, he mentioned.
