Ghana's home-based national team, the Black Galaxies, will face Mozambique today, Tuesday, at Stade du 5 Juliet, Algeria, in their final test match ahead of the start of the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN).
The game will kick off at 15:30 GMT as Annor Walker’s men look to maintain their unbeaten streak in the lead up to the tournament for players based in their domestic leagues.
The Black Galaxies defeated Egypt’s U-20 2-0, won 3-1 against Al Ahly in the first phase of their pre-tournament camping in Egypt before drawing goalless against host nation, Algeria, last Saturday.
The team held their final training session at Qadir Mohamed Rouiba Stadium on Monday afternoon ahead of the Mozambique friendly.
Captain of the side, Gladson Awako, went through a light session after picking up a knock in the game against Algeria.
Ghana will play its first game of the 2022 CHAN against Madagascar on Sunday, two days after the commencement of the competition.
Sudan and Morocco are the other teams in Group C with the Black Galaxies, who are making their fourth appearance at the tournament.
