The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has announced for the information of its members that entries for the 2022/23 Sanlam Group Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism has been open.
GJA in a release signed by the General Secretary, Kofi Yeboah noted that the deadline for entries is February 28, 2023.
The 2022/23 Sanlam Group Awards come with a cash prize and other benefits.
According to release, “the awards cover works in financial journalism done across print, radio, television and online media platforms, and they are open to African journalists based in Africa and working with media houses in Africa.”
It added that the awards categories include Business and Companies, Economy, Financial Markets, Consumer Financial Education, The African Growth Story, Broadcast: Radio/Audio/Podcasting (in business reporting) and Broadcast: Television/Video (in business reporting).
GJA further announced the introduction of a new award category - Environmental and Social Governance, with two sub-themes on Business and Environment, and Business and Society.
According to GJA, stories submitted for the awards must be published between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022, adding that the stories must be submitted on the following web page: https://bit.ly/3PsJ8jR
