A 26-year-old woman has allegedly been murdered with a cutlass by her husband.
The suspect, Micheal Abeiku Hagan, a commercial bus driver is currently on the run and wanted by the Police.
The deceased's family members learned about the tragedy on Friday, January 13 at their residence in Oyoko New Site in New Juaben North Municipality.
The deceased was found dead in the bedroom of their apartment at Oyoko New Site with several cutlass wounds on her legs, hands, fingers, head, forehead, and back.
The Police were notified immediately and they quickly reported to the scene for investigations. The Eastern Regional Police Command is yet to effect an arrest as the search for the suspect progresses.
According to family members, the suspect and the deceased had three children. They say they have no idea as to what might have resulted in the incident.
Meanwhile, it has been alleged that there were instances of marital conflicts.
The man is said to have reported a marital issue to a third party who supposedly was to help resolve it.
According to the third party, Pastor Eric Addo, the woman had travelled and therefore he was waiting for her return in order to help resolve the issue.
He said he was shocked to hear about the demise of the woman.
The deceased's body has now been deposited at St. Joseph Hospital's morgue for an autopsy. Investigation into the incident continues.
