Great news beckons for lovers of classical music, as Joy FM debuts its new musical programme dubbed, ‘The Classical Lovers Show’.
‘The Classical Lovers Show’ goes live tonight (Wednesday, March 1, 2023), and will air every Wednesday, from 10pm till midnight on Joy 99.7 FM. The show is hosted by classical music lover and broadcaster Jeffery Bruce Yakohene.
Jeffery comes on board with 18 years of experience in radio broadcasting and has always presented classical music shows, during his stints with various radio stations in the past, including Joy FM. He details what listeners can expect upon his return on the all-new ‘Classical Lovers Show’ on Joy FM.
“I am excited about this new journey because our cherished listeners can look forward to relaxing and meditating during the show. I’ll delve deeper into soothing classical music, from various classical composers from the 1550s to 1900s, literally, in the 16th century, narrowing it down to 20th century,” he said.

‘The Classical Lovers Show’ will present a unique blend of symphonies, concertos, pianos, nature sounds and operas.
The structure of the show’s playlist will pick inspiration from the ‘Middle Age’ and the ‘Renaissance’ (1450), the ‘Paroque’ period between 1600 and -1750, the ‘Classical’ period, from 1750 - 1820, and then the ‘Romantic’ period, between 1820 and 1900. It will also feature classical records from 1900 to 1945.
The news of the all-new Classical Lovers Show, is refreshing, as it provides lovers of the genre an opportunity to catch up with some of their favourite classical songs on Joy 99.7 FM, every Wednesday from 10pm till midnight. The show will also stream live on myjoyonline.com.
