Medeama SC Communications Director, Patrick Akoto, has lauded the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, for his efforts in reviving the football brand in the country.
Akoto spoke highly of Okraku in an interview with Empire FM, where he commended the GFA President for his efforts in fixing what he describes as a "destroyed brand".
He highlighted the progress made under Okraku's leadership, stating that the GFA President has made significant strides in revamping the football brand in Ghana.
"I think people forget where we are coming from. This is a football association which had been completely collapsed prior to the election of Kurt Okraku," Akoto said.
"The soul of the association was wiped out. Kurt Okraku is now fixing a broken and destroyed brand.”
Kurt Okraku took over as President of the GFA in 2019 and his first term in office will come to an end this year. The elections for the GFA Presidency are set for October 2023.
