Dr. Oquaye made this announcement during an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
Expressing his dedication to the cause of residents of Dome-Kwabenya, Dr Oquaye stated, “When it’s time to pick up forms and file nominations, I’ll be there to represent you."
"I want to inform the people of Dome-Kwabenya, through your medium, that as soon as there’s an opening for picking up forms and filing of nomination, I, Michael Oquaye Jnr., will stand to represent the people of Dome-Kwabenya.”
The sitting MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo has restated her interest in running again for the seat, and should the two be cleared by the party to run, they will be contesting for the third time, with Adwoa Safo winning in the two previous occasions, running away in the last instance in June 2020, with only an eight-vote margin.
