All is set for the finals of the 2023 Capital Market Quiz competition today Friday December 8, 2023.
Four schools, Prempeh College, Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School and Accra Academy will battle it out for the enviable title.
The quiz which is organised by the Young Investors Network in collaboration with the Ghana Stock Exchange seeks to promote financial literacy amongst senior high school students. It is supported by Joy Business.
The first semi-final contest saw Yaa Asantewaa Girls making it through to the finals by beating Aburi Girls Senior High School, West African Senior High School and Awudome SHS.

The blue magicians from the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School triumphed over Mawuko Girls, Olam Senior High School and the anchorites, Tema Senior High School in the second semi-final.
The third semi-final competition was marked with a lot of tension as Prempeh College came from behind to beat Adonten Senior High School by 0.5.
Accra Academy won the 4th but final semi-final contest.

Speaking to Joy Business, Executive Director in charge of projects and programmes at the Young Investors Network, Joshua Quaye Mensah said the capita; market quiz competition among senior high schools will boost financial literacy among the youth.
“This year, the quiz covered about five regions, touring various senior high schools and educating the students on how the stock market works.”

He furthered that “Some students also had the opportunity to attend the Capital Market Investment Expo where they learned a lot about the stock market, bonds and stock trading”
The final contest will come off at the R. S. Amegashie Auditorium at the University of Ghana Business School.
