Three Nigerian nationals have been arrested by the Public Health Department of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) for allegedly selling aphrodisiacs and an unidentified liquid claiming to be 'heart cleanser'.
The suspects were arrested following a tip-off they were retailing unlicensed medicines.
They have been handed over to the Ghana Police Service and are assisting with investigations to determine the origin and composition of the substances.
The Health Department noted that the supposed heart cleanser caused a plastic takeaway pack to melt, raising concerns about potential health hazards.
In a separate incident, seven individuals involved in the butchering of three people at Kyekyire in the Afigya Kwabre South district appeared in court on Wednesday, January 10.
