Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s daughter Imade, has taken legal action against the renowned Nigerian singer, after accusing him of cyberbullying, harassment, and threats to her life.
Through her legal representatives, Momodu issued a cease and desist order against Davido, on January 10, 2023.
The document outlines allegations of cyberbullying, harassment, and threats, asserting that the singer paid blogs to disseminate false statements about her.
“We write further to our email under reference regarding the conduct of Mr. David Adeleke towards our client, which amounts to cyberbullying, harassment and threats to life of our client, Ms Sophia Momodu, and her close associates," parts of the document read.
The legal document emphasises that previous attempts to address the matter through emails to Davido’s legal team have been ignored.
It warns that Davido will be held responsible if any harm befalls Momodu.
The accusations from Sophia Momodu follow a similar petition filed by Tiwa Savage against Davido, wherein she claimed that the singer threatened her life due to her friendship with his baby mama.
