Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus believes the Black Stars deserved better in their game against Egypt at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Black Stars twice blew away their lead against the Pharaohs both after Kudus had put Ghana ahead on his AFCON debut to draw 2-2.
The West Ham United man gave Ghana a first-half lead but a back pass from Inaki Williams to his goalkeeper was intercepted by Omar Marmoush who rounded Richard Ofori before kicking into an empty net.

Kudus restored the lead for Ghana once again in the 71st minute but the celebrations were cut short after Osman Bukari, who replaced Williams was also dispossessed leading to Mostafa Mohamed drawing the North Africans levelled to deny the Black Stars all three points.
Speaking at the end of the encounter, Kudus, who was also named the Man of the Match, revealed his frustration for Ghana failing to take the maximum points.
"We got a point today," said the 23-year-old. "I felt we deserved more because the goals [Egypt] scored were from some silly mistakes from us which we need to learn from."
With the draw against Egypt, Ghana now has one point from two games having lost to Cape Verde in their opening fixture.
Chris Hughton's side will now face Mozambique in their final Group B game on Monday, January 22, hopeful of passage into the knockout stages.
