Ghana forward Inaki Williams was involved in two goals on Wednesday night as Athletic Bilbao eliminated Barcelona from the Copa del Rey.
The forward scored one and set up another in extra time to ensure the Basque club claimed a 4-2 win over the Blaugrana side.
Inaki had only left Ghana's camp in Ivory Coast less than 48 hours before the game after the Black Stars' elimination was confirmed on Tuesday night.
The right-footed player featured in all three of Ghana's group games at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations as Ghana claimed just two points from a possible nine.
However. Cameroon's win over Gambia meant Ghana had officially been knocked out of the competition in the group stage for the second consecutive time.
Inaki arrived in Spain on Wednesday morning and had been included in Ernesto Valverde's matchday squad for the cup game against Barcelona.
The Ghanaian was introduced into the game in the 58th minute with the score at 2-2 before the fixture headed to extra time.
