The Ugandan import expressed his excitement over the feat, stating that the win was necessary to boost the confidence of the team ahead of the second round of the season which starts this weekend.
He reckons the win would also motivate them to keep their performance stable in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), as they seek to win the competition having missed out to Medeama SC last season.
Asante Kotoko became the first winner of the J.A Kufuor Cup match after coming from behind to beat Nosatreman FC 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
