The Member of Parliament for Aɖaklu constituency in the Volta Region, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, has called upon his constituents and the general public to engage actively in the Continuous Voter Registration Exercise scheduled to commence from May 7th to May 27th, 2024.

Speaking at the Easter Durbar held at Aɖaklu-Waya, organized to raise funds for the construction of a community centre, Hon. Agbodza emphasized the importance of citizen participation in the electoral process.

He underscored the need for individuals to register without hindrance, stating that any attempts to impede the process aimed at undermining the December 7th votes would not be tolerated.

Furthermore, he urged citizens to maintain peace and refrain from engaging in election-related violence.

Addressing concerns about potential conflicts, he advised against any form of altercation, emphasizing the significance of a peaceful electoral environment.

In addition to his call for public engagement, Hon. Agbodza urged collaboration among security services, the Electoral Commission, and all stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process and guarantee a peaceful election.

Joining the chorus of calls for unity and development, the District Chief Executive of Aɖaklu District, Hon. Walter Wogbemase Zuh, appealed to all natives of Aɖaklu to contribute to the district's progress.

He implored the chiefs of Aɖaklu to foster unity for the collective advancement of the district.

Highlighting pressing issues affecting the district, Hon. Eugene Akpatsa, the Assembly Member for the area, appealed to the government for assistance in providing essential amenities, particularly sanitary facilities.

He also raised concerns about the menace of Fulani herdsmen, urging decisive action to address the growing threat.

Additionally, the Regent, Torgbe Amafu, representing Chief Togbe Lablulu Tegbeza V of Aɖaklu Waya, encouraged citizens to seize the opportunity presented by the voter registration exercise to ensure their inclusion in the electoral process.
