The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has initiated the nomination process for Parliamentary Primaries in two outstanding constituencies ahead of the December 7 elections.
They include the Akan and La Dadekotopon constituencies.
The announcement comes on the back of the NPP’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
The General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong, in a press statement issued on Tuesday, April 9, stated that the party will soon release guidelines for the primaries in these constituencies.
This follows the resignation of Dr. Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanyofio in the La Dadekotopon constituency and the passing of Ambassador Rashid Bawa in the Akan constituency.
Meanwhile, the party has also officially named the incumbent Yendi MP, Farouk Aliu Mahama, as its parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
