Counsellor and founder of the Real Woman in Me, Rev. Charlotte Oduro, says men must not feel intimidated by the strength of a woman.
Speaking in a conversation on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, she explained that males are supposed to embrace and help unearth the potentials of their wives rather than domesticating them.
“We’ve built our society in such a way that women are put in a place where they don’t need to develop, and many men are intimidated by the woman who wants to develop herself,” she said on Thursday.
Like every human, Rev. Charlotte Oduro added that the capabilities of women are a gift from God to aid them support their husbands.
However, “the moment you are scared of the strength of a woman, it makes you the man to lose yourself. You shouldn’t be intimidated by the strength of a woman. Every man should stand and celebrate the power of the woman and make sure the gift in the woman is out,” she further highlighted.
She admonished women to be careful and mindful of men who feel intimidated by their prospects and success. Women have always been known for nagging, but Rev. Charlotte Oduro thinks men are becoming fonder of the act than women.
Although she believes in wives being submissive to their husbands, she also thinks it is respect and, as such, must be reciprocal, not bullying. This, according to her, enhances the growth of marriage.
She further indicated that education does not fume disrespect in women who have had the privilege to attain formal education. Instead, it humbles them as they learn how to communicate with people. Women are therefore urged to inculcate social morals in addition to their lifestyle to balance both ways.
“You don’t get higher in education and look down upon people. Then you yourself, you’re not educated because if you see any woman that is highly educated and doesn’t respect anybody, she’s not educated; she just had papers as a certificate."
Executive pastor at The Hill City Church of WorldWide Word Ministries, Apostle Chris Gbedemah, who also added his opinion to the conversation, rebuked men of God who fail to listen to their wives out of pride.

He said God frowns against the act. “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. God doesn’t care whether the one exhibiting the pride is a man of God or not. Once you’re proud, God will resist you.”
