Former Ghanaian goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey will lay his father, Jerry Franklin Kwarasey, to rest on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Lashibi Funeral Homes (Pavilion).
Mr Kwarasey passed away at the age of 66.
A burial mass will be held at St. Bakhita Catholic Church in Community 20, Tema, followed by the interment at the Lashibi Funeral Homes. After the interment, final funeral rites will take place at the same venue.
On Sunday, a thanksgiving service will be conducted at St. Michael's Garrison Catholic Church, opposite the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. Following the service, a family gathering will be held at the Army Officer's Mess at 37.
Kwarasey, a former goalkeeper for Stromgodset and Portland Timbers, made 24 appearances for the Black Stars from 2011 to 2016.
He is currently staying at the residence of businessman Kennedy Agyepong (Kenpong) in Airport Residential Area.
Kenpong, who has recently met Kwarasey during his scouting trips to Norway, is expected to appoint the former Black Stars goalkeeper as the international relations manager for the Kenpong Football Academy.
