Spanish La Liga side Barcelona are set to complete the loan signing of Ghanaian youngster David Oduro from Accra Lions.
The 18-year-old will join the prestigious La Masia Academy in Catalonia, where he’ll have the chance to showcase his talent with hopes of securing a permanent transfer next summer.
Oduro’s move will see him become the first player to transition directly from Ghana to FC Barcelona despite beginning from the youth ranks.
Earlier this year, underwent training at English outfit Chelsea hoping to secure a contract.
Oduro has been one of the best-performing youngsters on the local scene with his performances for the Accra-based side.
The teenager has featured in 15 of the 17 games in the ongoing 2023/24 league season scoring one goal for Lions in a 1-1 draw against Bibiani Gold Stars.
