Angola head coach Pedro Goncalves has criticised the state of the Baba Yara Stadium following his team's win over Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The pitch came under scrutiny before the match, with social media images highlighting its poor state.
Ghana coach Otto Addo had described the pitch as "concerning" in the pre-match press conference.
Milson’s late goal secured the victory for Angola, but Goncalves was not pleased with the condition of the turf.
"We tried to play good football but the pitch made it difficult," Pedro told the media.
"A country like Ghana deserves a better pitch and better national stadium because they have good players and they deserve a better pitch."
The condition of the turf was as a result of the hosting of a five-day 'Kumuyi' Church program in July.
Meanwhile, the result leaves the senior national team in third place, with Angola and Sudan occupying the first and second spots in Group F, respectively.
The Black Stars will hope to bounce back in their next encounter against Niger on Monday, September 9.
