Asante Kotoko have a temporary home for their Ghana Premier League games starting this weekend.
They face Young Apostles on match day 3 of the new season at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
The meeting will be the first-ever encounter between the two teams in Ghana’s top flight with Young Apostles only securing promotion at the end of last season.
For Kotoko, the game will be an opportunity to add to their win on the opening weekend of the league season having defeated Karela United.
Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side were excused from action on the second weekend following Nsoatreman’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Young Apostles only picked up their first point in the league when they held Nations FC to a goalless draw in their first home game.
What has been said?
"We are ready for the game on Sunday against Young Apostles. They are a very good side… We aim to put up a high performance that is attractive and appealing so that our supporters will be motivated," Kotoko coach Ogum said in his pre-match press conference.
Young Apostles head coach Asare Bediako acknowledges the team's challenges in front of goal but is hopeful they will find the net soon.
“We’ve been working on scoring, yet the goals are not coming… I’m sure we will score in our next game,” he said.
