Bibiani Gold Stars extended their unbeaten start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Nations FC on Sunday at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Faisal Chawetey fired the home side ahead in the 34th minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse by Gold Stars.
However, Kelvin Oppong ensured that Frimpong Manso's men left with a share of the spoils, netting a crucial equaliser with just nine minutes remaining. Gold Stars showed resilience to hold on for a valuable point, keeping their unbeaten streak alive.
With this result, Gold Stars remain at the top of the table with 12 points after six matches, while Nations FC sit 5th, continuing their promising start to the season in Ghana's top flight.
