Disk Jockey, Kwabena Koduah, popularly known as DJ Ikon has been nominated in four categories of the 12th edition of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards organised by Merqury Republic.
He earned spots in the Male Radio DJ of the Year, Artist DJ of Year, Event DJ of Year, and Afrobeats DJ of the Year category respectively.
He faces fierce competition from other giants such as Joy FM’s DJ Wobete, Pluzz FM’s Mr Shark, as well as Y FM’s DJ Sly King is the Male Radio DJ of the Year category while he battles for supremacy with heavyweights such as ADDJ, DJ Quest, and a number of other superb disk jockeys in the Afrobeats DJ category.

DJ Ikon; the official DJ for Cruise Control and The Mix tape Show on Hitz FM, is hoping to grab his first award and is very optimistic that he will emerge winner in the categories he has been nominated in.
He also happens to be the official DJ for award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Kofi Mole.
Organizers of the annual Guinness Ghana DJ Awards Festival, have released the first set of performers to mount the big stage on November 9, 2024, at The Palms Convention Center.
Rocking the big stage on November 9, at The Palms Convention Center, will be Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kwabena Kwabena, Andy Dosty, and Keche.
Over the past 12 years, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards night has been graced with performances from a tall list of acts such as Kofi Mole, Black Sherif, Medikal, DJ Vyrusky, Andy Dosty, DJ Switch, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kidi, Kuame Eugene, MzVee, Captain Planet, Patapaa, Adina, D-Black, Flowking Stone, Mr Drew, Kuami Eugene amongst others.
On Saturday, September 7, as part of the Ghana DJ Awards Festival, Merqury Republic organized the 5th edition of the Ghana DJ Clinic, an educational curation designed to educate, empower, and foster meaningful relationships among incoming and professional DJs alongside other creatives.
