Legon Cities staged a comeback to beat Basake Holy Stars 2-1 at the University of Ghana Stadium in week 11 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Royals, who are battling relegation, did not have a good start after conceding after 16 minutes following an expertly taken penalty by Prince Opoku.
However, coach Paa Kwesi Fabin's side did not give up and mounted intense pressure on the visitors that yielded two goals.
Defender Frank Akoto equalised with a strike in the 33rd minute to breathe life into Legon Cities' turnaround.
Just three minutes later, Kojo Gyasi put the hosts in front with a fine goal.
The win marks Legon Cities' third triumph of the ongoing season, injecting hope into their survival bid though the Royals still remain in the relegation zone with 11 points.
Basake Holy Stars, meanwhile, slipped to 13th position with 12 points.
