This is a Paper presented by Private Legal Practitioner, Ace Anan Ankomah at the 2024 Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences Founder’s Week under the general theme, Leveraging the Fourth Industrial Revolution, on 14 November 2024.
He considers the relevant legal regimes on Cybersecurity, Electronic Transactions and Data Processing in Ghana, and seeks to show that while Ghana is possibly up-to-date where the law is concerned, there are gaps to be bridged, namely the usual delays in enacting required regulations and guidelines, a general lack of knowledge of the legal regimes, and some lag in enforcing them.
