The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has levelled accusations against Sylvester Tetteh, the Deputy Minister of Information, for allegedly demolishing its staff bungalows in Weija, illegally.
According to GBC, the demolishing took place despite objections to the action. The state broadcaster sought assistance from the Ghana Police Service to intervene and halt the process, which was underway.
In a statement shared on its verified social media accounts on Thursday, November 21, GBC said that the police were called in to prevent the demolition from proceeding further.

"The Management of GBC with the help of Ghana Police Service this afternoon stopped the Deputy Minister of Information and MP for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh from continued illegally demolition of government buildings on GBC land at Weija," it posted.
At the time of writing, there had been no official response from Sylvester Tetteh regarding the allegations made by GBC.
