Some persons believed to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Monday morning, broke into the Bono Regional office of the Forestry Commission.
They are said to have made away with two patrol cars and other valuable items, including personal items of staff.
Joy News understands that they broke into the store room and made away with 3 chainsaw machines and old car batteries.
Some of the staff who interacted with Joy News said they were "traumatized" by the incident.
They alleged that they were physically harassed by the perpetrators. They also claimed that the thugs robbed them of their monies.
However, attempts by the thugs to break into the money box of the account section of the commission was unsuccessful.
The police arrived a few minutes after the thugs had left, and a combined team of police and military officers later secured the premises to ensure the safety of properties and the staff at the Sunyani Divisional Office of the Forestry Commission.
Joy News' visit to the office revealed that the security man on duty took to his heels after locking the main entrance.
He said upon his return, he found that the entrance had been broken into, and motorbikes taken including his.
The thugs also attempted to bolt with a packed Kia truck but were unsuccessful and they also failed to break into the office despite removing the louvers.
In parts of Accra on Monday, there were similar incidents where persons believed to be NDC youth invaded the NADMO head office, offices of the Ayawaso East Municipal assembly, and the Metro Mass lorry station at Kaneshie.
