Asante Kotoko forward, Kwame Opoku, says he is ready to win trophies with Porcupine Warriors on his second spell with the Kumasi-based club.
The former Nkoransa Warriors forward was sensational for the Porcupine Warriors before joining the Algerian-based outfit USM Alger in 2021.
The 25-year-old scored 9 goals prior to making the move to Algeria.
He returned to the club on a free transfer and was unveiled before the win over Hearts of Oak over the weekend.
Speaking in his first interview with the club's media team, Opoku detailed his burning desire to lead the club to laurels.
"I have to help the team as a whole to achieve its goals to win trophies and compete on the continent. I couldn’t win any trophy in my first stint but I believe this time I have a lot to offer," he said.
Opoku also admitted that leaving the Porcupine Warriors back in 2021 was a difficult decision.
"Leaving Kotoko was a hard decision for me. The morning before my departure I felt bad about leaving a great club like Kotoko," he added.
Opoku was not in the squad against Hearts but is expected to be ready for the next encounter against Dreams FC in Dawu.
