Nations FC breezed past Basake Holy Stars to return to winning ways with a 3-1 victory at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Their victory keeps them in the top three of the league standings as they continue their push for a top spot.
The impressive Razak Simpson opened the scoring in the first half, capitalizing on a poor defensive lapse to hand the home side an early lead.
Natons FC talisman Faisal Charwetey doubled the lead with a clinical finish, taking his goal tally to nine goals as the league's top scorer.
Basake Holy Stars pulled one back in the 59th minute through Emmanuel Agyei to give the visitors a life line but it was a consolation goal as Nations FC comfortably saw out the contest.
Emmanuel Annor scored the third goal for Nations FC with a sublime volley that left goalkeeper Wahab Aboubakar stranded.
Nations FC victory move them to third place, just a point behind the league leaders, while Basake Holy Stars drop to 11th position after their second defeat in their last five league matches.
