Nsoatreman FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Karela United at the Nana Kronmansah II Park on Sunday, ending their nine-match winless run.
Eric Osei Bonsu's 53rd-minute penalty proved to be the decisive goal, lifting Nsoatreman to 12th place in the league standings.
The hosts were awarded the penalty after Mohammed Abdul Rahman was fouled in the box.
Bonsu converted the spot-kick with precision, and Nsoatreman held on to claim a much-needed victory.
The win brings relief to Nsoatreman's coach, Yaw Preko, and his team who was reportedly chased out at the training ground by irate club supporters.
Meanwhile, Karela United's struggles continue, as they remain in the relegation zone, winless in five matches and with only one win in ten premier league matches.
