President John Mahama has designated Adam Mutawakilu, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) former Damongo MP, as the Acting CEO of Ghana Water Limited (GWL).
The appointment is contingent upon the constitutionally mandated recommendation of the GWL Governing Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
In a statement issued by Dr Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President, it was confirmed that Mr Mutawakilu’s appointment will come into effect on 22nd January 2025.

The President conveyed his congratulations to Mr Mutawakilu and requested a formal response indicating his acceptance of the role within 14 days of the receipt of the appointment letter.
“Please accept the President’s best wishes,” the statement concluded.
