Adamu doubled Karela’s lead just before halftime, giving his side a vital cushion in their battle to escape relegation.
Berekum Chelsea pushed forward in search of a response and pulled one back in the 80th minute. However, Karela remained resolute, holding on to secure all three points.
Despite the win, Karela United remain in the relegation zone, sitting 16th with 17 points.
Chelsea, meanwhile, stay in eighth place with 25 points.
Karela face Accra Lions in their next game as they continue their fight for survival, while Berekum Chelsea take on Nsoatreman.
