Table toppers Asante Kotoko will look to keep their position when they face Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League in midweek.
The Porcupine Warriors travel to Wenchi to face the newly promoted side in an outstanding league game on Wednesday, March 19.
Kotoko are unbeaten in any of their last three games across all competitions since suffering a 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman in February.
Unlike Kotoko. Young Apostles have only won one of their last three games, coming against Accra Lions last weekend. Prior to that, they had lost to Karela United in the MTN FA Cup as well as Hearts of Oak.
Kotoko dropped points against Samartex last weekend, needing a sixth-season goal from Kwame Opoku to salvage a point against the defending champions.
In the earlier meeting between the two teams this season, Prosper Narteh Ogum's side came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw, with Emmanuel Antwi scoring in the 76th minute.
A win for Kotoko on Wednesday will keep them at the top of the league standings regardless results from other games.
Young Apostles could also move to eighth on the league table if they can go past the Kumas-based side at home.
The game kicks off at 3 pm.
