Legon Cities forward Williams Kweku Adjei scored his first Ghana Premier League goal of the season to secure a 1-1 draw against Vision FC at the University of Ghana Stadium on Wednesday night.
The match was a thrilling encounter between two teams fighting to avoid relegation. Vision FC took the lead in the 8th minute through George Tei Nagadzi's goal, but Legon Cities pushed hard for an equalizer.
Despite dominating possession and creating several scoring opportunities in the first half, Legon Cities were denied by Vision FC's resilient defense and goalkeeper Michael Abraham's crucial saves.
However, Legon Cities attacking prowess paid off when Adjei pounced on a rebound and unleashed a powerful strike with his weaker left foot to level the score in the 60th minute.
Legon Cities continued to push for a winner, but Abraham's heroics in goal ensured that Vision FC secured a valuable point on the road.
The draw marked Legon Cities' second stalemate at home this season, with the team controlling possession and registering 12 goal attempts to Vision FC's two.
The result sees the Royals move out of the relegation zone to 15th position with 21 points, while Vision FC sits at 14th position with 24 points.
Legon Cities will travel to face Accra Lions in their next League match, while Vision FC will host Nations FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex.
