Former Ghana international Asamoah Gyan has charged the Black Stars players to give their 100% ahead of their game against Madagascar.
Ghana face Madagascar on matchday six of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers looking to stretch their lead at the top of Group I.
Last Friday’s win over Chad saw the team end a run of six games without a win as they picked up all three points to move to the top of the table with a 5-0 win at the Accra Sports Stadium.
However, they are set to be involved in a top-of-the-table clash against Madagascar which could increase their chances of being at the World Cup next year.
“Let’s go 100%. I want Ghanaians to see you heckling and fighting. We have great players, the talent and everything is there but that commitment, a bit, just small and we would get there,” he said.
“Sometimes, you can come and your club will be telling to be careful but the world cup is the ultimate.”
Gyan is part of the contingent that travelled with the team to Morocco for the game against Madagascar with former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, also with them.
Monday’s game is scheduled to kick off at 19:00 GMT.
