The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has released its latest weather update, forecasting a mix of cloudy conditions, thunderstorms, and periods of sunshine across the country starting tonight through to Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28
According to the agency, residents along the coastline and slightly north of the coastal regions should expect cloudy weather tonight, accompanied by scattered thunderstorms, with or without rain.
On Thursday, GMet revealed that there will be early morning mist that will give way to sunny intervals, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms later in the day.
A similar pattern will continue into Friday, with the misty morning conditions clearing for sunny periods, followed by isolated thunderstorms in some areas.
In the middle and transition sectors of the country, GMet predicts that cloudy skies will persist through the night, with scattered thunderstorms expected in different locations.
On Thursday, the morning mist will clear to allow for sunny intervals, but scattered thunderstorms are likely to occur later. By Friday, the early morning mist will again transition into bright and sunny periods, with thunderstorms expected in scattered locations.
The northern parts of the country will also experience cloudy weather tonight, with scattered thunderstorms occurring in various places.
On Thursday, the GMet indicates predominantly sunny conditions, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms later in the day. By Friday, the region will experience hotter temperatures with clear skies for most of the day, though scattered thunderstorms remain a possibility.
GMet has urged the public to remain cautious, especially in areas prone to heavy rainfall and strong winds.
It has advised the public to take necessary precautions and stay alert to sudden weather changes.
