A disturbing incident has shocked the Twifo Praso community in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District of the Central Region, as a teenage girl, identified as Nana Zinabu, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her room.
The deceased, believed to be between 18 and 19 years old, was discovered early in the morning by a co-tenant who had woken up at around 4:30 am to prepare food for sale.
The eyewitness reported noticing that Zinabu’s room door was unusually open. Upon entering, she found the young woman lying naked on the floor.
The victim’s mouth appeared to have been sealed with a substance resembling super glue, and nearby, three used condoms and apples were found, prompting further suspicion about the events leading to her death.
The eyewitness immediately alerted other residents, and the matter was reported to the Praso Police Station.
The tragic discovery has left the community shaken, especially as the victim, a known apprentice seamstress, was expected to complete her training and graduate later this year.
The body has been sent to the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital morgue for preservation and further examination.
Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng, the District Police Commander, confirmed that investigations are underway.
He assured the public that all necessary steps would be taken to uncover the truth behind the young girl’s death and bring those responsible to justice.
