Legon Cities brought an end to their ten-match losing run away from home with a hard-fought goalless draw against Young Apostles at the Nana Abrefah Nketiah VII Park in Wenchi on matchday 26 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
Young Apostles aimed to capitalize on the poor away form of their opponents, who had suffered ten consecutive defeats on their travels.
However, head coach Yaw Acheampong set up a resilient defensive unit that successfully frustrated the hosts throughout the game, ensuring the trend was finally broken.
Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, Young Apostles couldn’t break through the disciplined Legon Cities backline, who held firm to earn a rare point away from home.
Legon Cities, however, remain in the relegation zone, sitting 17th with 23 points, while Young Apostles move up to 13th with 30 points.
Up next, Legon Cities host Samartex, while Young Apostles face Bibiani Gold Stars.
