Some supporters of Adwoa Safo, former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, stormed the party's headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra on Monday, 7 April, ahead of her expected appearance before the party’s disciplinary committee.
The decision comes after her comments on JoyNews’ The Pulse show, which the party leadership viewed as a direct contravention of an earlier directive prohibiting members from discussing matters that could create disaffection and unrest within the party.

The former MP was set to appear before the party's disciplinary committee following remarks she made in the media concerning the party’s performance in the 2024 general elections.

The move forms part of a broader inquiry into the implications of her statements and their potential impact on the party's public image.

A notice, jointly signed by Patrick Boamah, Secretary to the Disciplinary Committee, and William Yamoah, Director of Finance and Administration, was issued on 24th March 2025.
