Emmanuel Mamah scored a brace for Samartex to earn a dominant 3-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars on Sunday afternoon at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
From the first whistle, Samartex looked the more composed side, controlling possession and creating chances.
Their early pressure paid off in the 17th minute when Baba Hamadu Musa broke the deadlock. Latching onto a clever through ball, Musa calmly slotted the ball past the Holy Stars goalkeeper to give Samartex a deserved lead.
The home side doubled their advantage just eleven minutes later. Mamah, who was a constant threat down the flank, cut inside and finished clinically to make it 2-0 in the 28th minute.
Holy Stars struggled to cope with Samartex’s intensity and failed to create any meaningful opportunities to threaten a comeback.
After the break, Samartex maintained their dominance. Mamah completed his brace in the 71st minute, showing great composure inside the box after a swift team move.
His second goal effectively ended the contest and sealed a comfortable afternoon for the hosts.
Christopher Ennin side are now unbeaten in their last five matches and are now 5 points below the top four.
The win moves Samartex’s to the seventh position with 45 points and sees them solidify their position in the top half of the league table.
For Holy Stars, their miserable away record continues, they have recorded 5 points in 14 away matches and have now gone 12 straight away games without a victory.
