Asante Kotoko left it late to make the final of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup following their narrow win over Berekum Chelsea.
Albert Amoah scored a late goal to seal a 1-0 win for the Porcupine Warriors as they advanced into the final two.
Both teams came into the semifinal on the back slim wins over True Democracy and Bechem United respectively with Kotoko claiming a 2-1 win while Chelsea sealed a 1-0 victory Bechem.
After an intended half of football, both teams went into the break with no goals to separate them.
The second half took a similar fashion with the two teams going neck and neck.
With eights away from full time, Amoah snatched the breakthrough.
The forward rose highest in the box to head home Baba Yahaya’s cross to give Kotoko the lead.
Despite their late attempts, Chelsea were unable to come back into the game.
The result sends Kotoko to the final of the competition where they will come up against Golden Kick FC.
