Barcelona will not be triggering their buy option for Ghanaian youngster Abdul Aziz Issah at the end of the season.
The attacking midfielder is expected to return to Dreams FC following the completion of the loan deal this month, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
The youngster was hoping to secure a permanent stay at the Spanish side after joining Barcelona Athletic on loan at the start of the season.
Issah has enjoyed an underwhelming campaign in Spain so far since his arrival and has found minutes difficult to come by.
The left-footed midfielder was recently with Ghana’s U-20 team at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt as they chased World Cup qualification.
He scored one goal and claimed one Man of the Match award during the tournament.
However, his unconvincing performances at Barcelona B means the club will not exercise their option to extend his stay at the club beyond this season.
